walshy
Beautiful 1976 Fender Jazz - the cull continues! 😂 Lovely vintage bass but with loads of playing still to come, performs really well with low action and a great sound. Looks as though it may have been refinished at some point in the past in black over white. It still has the old school vintage though with lots of mojo . Original pickups and controls present but the wiring has been changed with vintage spec cloth covered black and white to replace some nasty red and blue plastic wiring. Brass shielding plates are present and correct. The neck which is straight and very slim, the nut isn't perfect cosmetically but is fine functionally. Obviously this is 42 years young and been played and enjoyed so condition is to be expected. The scratch plate is new but the original black one included, looks blue in some lights. Original Fender hardcase and some paperwork included. This is a very solid bass with a lovely bound neck which has some slight wear to the lacquer. It may have had a refret because they are in great shape . The headstock is a gorgeous aged colour. Tuners are original and work perfectly. The adjusters on one bridge saddle are dodgy so have replaced with new. Originals included. As are original pickup foams which I have replaced as they were dried out. Will only appreciate in price too.
