I'd consider trades with cash your way for something like a Non-reverse Thunderbird or P Bass. Try me. Here's my 1983ish Tokai Jazz Sound JB45 with details as follows: - Custom bone nut (39mm) provided by Edge Guitar Services in Bristol - 4.1kg - Tone pot: Emerson Pro CTS 250k blender - Fender gig bag (unpadded) included Some of the pics show Seymour Duncan QP pickups; these have now been sold, so the original pickups are included (which are rather good I must say). This has the dings and imperfections you'd expect from a bass this age, which I have photographed as best as I can. The frets are showing a tiny bit of wear lower down, but not greatly so. I'm happy to provide more detailed images with strings off. Those who know about this era and brand don't need to be told this is a top quality 60's jazz bass copy that holds its own with Fenders. Obviously collection and tryout in Bristol would be preferred but I can post at buyer's expense. Jazz, although the serial number is completely different (L04***) - they don't seem to signify anything (?). foxyFuze Posted August 5, 2018 Author Share Posted August 5, 2018 I think (although will defer to expertise) these tuners were on several of their instruments, and the higher specced ones such as the JB60 and JB85 had the standard four-screw ones - electronics similar across the Board though.
