Rikkers
Hi Folks. This beautiful Ric copy is on my way. Thinking about changing the trussrod cover and pickguard for black ones. Question: Does anyone here has the experience with buying or copying the Greco Guitar logo in white or silver? And how to apply it? AndyTravis
Speak to our very own @TimAl who will use yours as a pattern and then work his magic on the Greco logo for you.
Marc S
I've got a Shaftesbury faker, and it's absolutely great! However, it doesn't have the original Truss Rod Cover, it's got a replacement. I wish it still had the original cover If I were you, I'd keep those TRC's - Greco instruments from that era are well respected, and if you remove yours, you risk losing them You may regret that in future? Tim will return the originals with the black versions - he’s a good sport like that 😂

Think the best way with Pickguards is to get a plank of wood and screw then to it, stops them warping/going missing etc. not that I’ve ever done that... Rikkers
@Mark S: I always keep the original parts. This bass has it's original bridge too but is fitted with a Hipshot bridge. Asked the guy for it for the same reasons. @AndyTravis: Thanx for the tip. I'll ask Timal. It took me a week to see that the trussrod cover is upside down compared to an original lefty Ric from before 1986.
