SurroundedByManatees Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 These are great sounding and well built basses. I bought one as a replacement for my 71 telecaster bass. Im really satisfied with it. It had some upgrades though. The scpb-3 should be a valuable improvement on this bass. Glwts

Grahambythesea Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 So tempted it’s almost aYOB (or the original was). Slab bodies frighten me just how heavy is it?
Bluepigbass Posted August 30, 2018 Author Posted August 30, 2018 Do not have access to the bass to weigh it (working), it is not heavy, body is pine!, slightly heavier than my Nate Mendel P bass, lighter than my 1978 P bass
Grahambythesea Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Thanks.pine body, that’s unusual. A forest of pine would be lighter than a 78 Precision. I sometimes wonder if they were made of lead rather than wood. I used to have a 75 P. & that was dead heavy too.
