Doesn't even look remotely like timber - pretty sure that's MDF of some sort. Did Fender Japan use MDF?

Yeah I thought it was MDF. I wouldn’t have thought Fender would stoop so low!

i remember reading somewhere on the interweb about some squier japan silver series being made of MDF,although i own one myself which im pretty sure isnt ,i did own a squier strat japan which was ply or MDF
