Mickeyboro Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 (edited) SOLD ELSEWHERE My wife is giving up on mandolin, hence this Kentucky brand flat-top instrument, dating from the 80s, is for sale. It’s a KM100S Army-Navy style, made in Japan. Loud and resonant with a warm, woody tone, it has a solid spruce top and high quality tuners. As with many of these instruments it has developed a crack from the sound hole to the neck (less than an inch) but this doesn’t affect sound or integrity. Supplied with soft case. Based Bournemouth. alyctes Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Does it stay in tune decently? I am blessed with a singer who would rather buy some stupid electric tuning jobby than an instrument which stays tuned...
Mickeyboro Posted August 2, 2018 Author Posted August 2, 2018 Good call Daz, but he has his sights on summat!
prowla Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 Thanks for thinking of me! My sights are set on an Ovation, but they are rather expensive. 50 squids for this seems like an awfully good buy, though the crack is disturbing...

I totally understand that. If anyone wants to stop by and try it (Bournemouth), or arrange to meet - I travel regularly - just let me know.
