Dave I'll be wandering over to have a look at yours then. 40 quid's a bit steep for my pocket.

I think I'm on a winner then - I pre-ordered and paid for it in February for £18.59 from Amazon. I'm pretty sure they have to honour the price! kevin_lindsay
Yeah, my pre-order price was £18.59 too, with free delivery (I also ordered another copy as a present for my friend Paul Turner). If you pre-order the book on Amazon, then they will honour the lowest price it is advertised for between the time you order it and when it is actually released. dmccombe7
Is that the hardback version you ordered ? Just curious why such a discrepency in price Dave
Cosmo Valdemar
Just checked - my pre-order shows £18.59 as well. I was getting a bit worried for a moment!
kevin_lindsay
The list price is £40, but the sale price will go down and up between now and the release date. The £18.59 price was a mega deal that the price reduced to shortly after it'srelease date was announced (hence why I ordered two copies!!). If the price drops below that amount between now and the release date, I'll simply be charged the lowest price.

fretmeister
That would go nicely with my Entwhistle bass book.
mentalextra
I really hope PIno manages to diary his musical career in a book at some point?
spongebob
Can't believe I missed it at the lower price! Reckon I'll hold fire on a pre-order to see if it comes down a bit. Sure it will, as Amazon's pricing structure appears to be made up on a daily basis! 🤣

kevin_lindsay
Spongebob - if you pre-order via Amazon, you'll only be charged the lowest price they list between when you place the order and the release date. So, if you pre-order at £40, when the price drops to say, "£22.99" you'll be charged that price. If it fell to "£18.99", you'd be charged that price. Basically, you're charged the lowest price advertised.
Bassassin
Still think he should've called it Bignose's Bass Book - that's what it'll always be to me, anyway. Ordered mine when it was £18.59, happily.

kevin_lindsay
If it doesn't drop between now and the release date, you can simply cancel the order before the release date.

fretmeister
https://rushbackstage.com/product/6XAMRU0174/ultra-limited-edition-geddy-lees-big-beautiful-book-of-bass $950.00 I'd expect to get a bass included for that!
Monkey Steve
I'd expect Geddy to come round and read it to me for that price that said. while it's not worth anything close to the money, it's a very nice package - special applause for the tolex case
