My cancelled order was the start of February too.

Well, when you all get bored of your copies (as if...) you know who to send them to :D - the queue is growing longer :(

I wrote to Amazon Customer Service to get an explanation (why cancel my order and get the book back on sale within 2 weeks) - and got none, really. The book is however no longer on sale by Amazon.

Call me a conspiracy theorist but funny that should happen a couple of days after getting a few knocks on the door from Martyn Lewis’ website...! Hmmmmm... 😒

The more I see Geddy lee, the more I realise that over the last twenty five years he and a friend of mine have grown almost identical as they aged!

I ordered mine on Jan 1st and it finally turned up on Monday. I feel gutted for anyone who ordered and had it cancelled as it's a lovely thing to sit and go through. Not sure we needed 50 pages on the Jazz bass alone but the pictures are amazing.

After Amazon.uk 's cancellation, on April 15 I ordered from RareWaves (a 2nd party dealer on Amazon) . This Morning my GLBBB arrived  packaged in -horror, horror - a thin plastic foil(!). But finally it's here. Bass porn Bonanza

I noticed It's already the second print, but it is worth every cent. 15 GBP would have been a steal, but for 55 GBP I don't feel cheated.

Still, Amazon deserves a couple of flames, if you ask me.

I can’t wait but Mrs Ubit has told me not to buy it as it may be a birthday present. I’m not sure if she knows how long it takes !

Got my copy yesterday. It’s quite a tome, it’s much bigger and heavier than I was expecting. A quick flick through and it looks great. It says he only started collecting vintage basses in 2012! Not long to acquire so many, and so many custom coloured Fenders.

This features 250 of the most interesting basses in his collection, so how many does he own!

His collection has grown by approx 40 since the book.

It's an interesting browse/read... Weirdly, aside monetary value, I'd probably only covet from his collection, a vintage jazz and maybe a good modern version, a tasty clanky Rick and the Wal 5. The weird and the rare don't really do it for me... Collection-wise, I think I'm more in the Entwistle camp who had the jazz's, P's and Ricks but also the Alembic, Warwick and Statii...
