LITTLEWING Posted August 5, 2018 Posted August 5, 2018 I recently took my jazz knobs off for a good old polish up and wondered where, when refitting, would be best to reposition the white pointers to look the most aesthetically pleasing. I ended up pointing them all full on at the 'V' at the top of the chrome plate where it meets the pickguard. 1 Quote
BreadBin Posted August 5, 2018 Posted August 5, 2018 So the F logo is perpendicular to the strings at full on. 😀 Quote
Johnny Wishbone Posted August 5, 2018 Posted August 5, 2018 Same as you - pointing at the V at the top of the pickguard Quote
ahpook Posted August 5, 2018 Posted August 5, 2018 (edited) Another pointing to the V Edited August 5, 2018 by ahpook Quote
fleabag Posted August 5, 2018 Posted August 5, 2018 I dont know where i'm pointing. No markers on mine. Quote
BrunoBass Posted August 5, 2018 Posted August 5, 2018 Mine point east when full on, I like south west on the bridge pick up and the tone pointing north (from playing point of view). Quote

Trueno Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 I usually point my jazz knobs at about 10 o'clock when on full... as you look down on them from above. My US Jazz was like that from new... so that's what I've tended to stick with. Quote
RickyV Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 Full on is at the 12 o clock position on mine, thats when on the strap. Quote
Bridgehouse Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 What are the knobs actually for? I don’t touch mine. 😮 Quote
discreet Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 At 12 o'clock I like to stand on one leg and whistle underwater. Quote
