alyctes Posted August 5, 2018 Posted August 5, 2018 Unique, I am sure. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Eagle-Custom-Bass-left-handed/253798679216?hash=item3b179482b0:g:Qj0AAOSwH4dbZxQ1 Quote
Happy Jack Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 Not exactly lap-friendly, but I rather like that. I wonder how easy it would be to flip it around to be right-handed? Oh no ... wait ... Quote
Bassassin Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 Like that a lot - really interesting take on a lightweight headless design. Do think it's a major oversight not having a contour to allow it to be played sitting down. Also if you're going to have cutouts (presumably to reduce weight rather than for the sake of it!) why would you not have them in upper & lower bouts, rather than compromise rigidity by sticking one right in the middle? Or am I just being too damn pragmatic about a piece of art? Quote

dyerseve Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 (edited) not sure about the action on this - that one photo showing the MOP side markers looks like you could sail a barge under the strings... Edited August 6, 2018 by dyerseve 1 Quote
Maude Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 In pic #4 the neck really looks like it would want to twist the top half of the body forwards. It's probably fine but it 'looks' weak. Quote

There's a similar one I've seen (Polish luthier IIRC) which solved the bottom contour problem by having a length of brass bar bent into a curve where the upper bout would be. Damned if I can find a picture though. Quote
