Hobbayne
John Falstrom thinks so. I think he may have a point. I always play slightly differently on my LPB MIM with the maple than my Olly white USA with the rosewood board. I never really though about it before. About 5:50 in the video. Lozz196
The fretboard colour doesn`t make me play any differently but I do find that the colour of the bass itself influences my stage performance - with my black basses I`m more subdued, but when playing the white ones I tend to move about a bit more. Of course at 52 that really means shuffle around more on the same spot, but mentally I`m leaping and running around when the white bass is on.
Jean-Luc Pickguard
nope, my playing is equally inept whatever colour bass I'm using. 1
SH73
I enjoy playing Maiden songs on my sparkly blue bass more
Happy Jack
All basses are black in the dark. Anyway, why would you be looking at the body of your bass when playing it?
MacDaddy
You can't really stand still at the back with this But like Lozz, I'm throwing shapes and posing more in my head, than in reality.
Beedster
Metallic blue sparkle Modulus Flea doesn’t allow for understated playing, so yes

bubinga5
This is going in the same direction as "what direction should I place my bass knobs" thread. There is a reason why you have never thought about it before. Because it is totally irrelevant. Edited August 10, 2018 by bubinga5
bassbiscuits
Of course it doesn't. It might make you think you look more or less cool playing it, but it isn't responsible for how you play. chris_b
It's true. I've been known to tap my right foot when playing my blue bass and tap my left foot with the 3 tone sunburst.
Bridgehouse
I'm colour blind. Explains the consistently crap playing. 2
discreet
I'm not happy unless I'm playing a white (or very light-coloured) bass. But I don't think it makes me play any differently from any other finish. I also prefer maple to rosewood boards, but again I'll play the same on both. So no. kevin_lindsay
As long as your shoes coordinate with you the colour of your bass, you're ready to groove!!!
Geek99
Sunburst goes with everything, as does Tort

I don't even LOOK at my bass when playing, how could it's looks affect my playing? codswhallop more likely the rolled edges and dressed frets on your USA helps you to play better, but not the colour of the body and pickguard lol Edited August 11, 2018 by bazzbass

KingPrawn
Bass color doesn't bother me too much. However underpants color is crucial!
