pst62 Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 (edited) I'm thinking of swapping out the Hi mass bridge on my Squier CV 70's Precision for a vintage Fender BBOT. Has anyone here done this already, or know if it will be straight fit? If it means having to drill new holes, I'll not bother. Edited August 11, 2018 by pst62 Quote
bazzbass Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 is your current bridge 3 or 5 hole? You may need to find measurements of both to be sure Quote
AndyTravis Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 I seem to recall the spacing was slightly different. I’d love to be wrong Quote
pst62 Posted August 11, 2018 Author Posted August 11, 2018 Thanks for the replies, Andy, it seems you're right, I've just been scooting round and seen a thread on that American place stating that they do not match up. Quote

See that's a matter of opinion, I had a Precision once which had a Badass II and to be honest the only thing I noticed being different was that you couldn't get the action as low due to the big chunk of steel the saddles sat on. Besides there's nowt wrong with the humble BBOT. Quote
chris_b Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 The BBOT is fine, except when it isn't. More mass in the bridge can improve the resonance and sustain of the note. Quote
