Happy Jack
So there I was, browsing the eBay listings, when I came across a bass I'd never heard of before: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Danelectro-Wild-Thing-Bass-Guitar-Light-Weight-Twangy-Fun/223097088630?hash=item33f19f6a76:g:lqMAAOSwkyNbbakj And I looked at it, and I thought "that's interesting". And then I looked TWO listings down, and guess what was there: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Danelectro-Wild-Thing-Wildthing-Bass-Guitar-Back-friendly-light-weight/192459626280?hash=item2ccf7cd728:g:lYIAAOSwoRBaiaCP Don't you just love synchronicity? Good name for an album, that.
b7l4s
Very 'interesting'... the shape is OK-ish, and at least a bit different, plus I like the sound of a 6 lb bass... what's with the anaglypta round the sides though?
alyctes
They've been out there for a while. That body shape is not my cup of tea.

Danos are built like semi hollows but using a form of hardboard (Masonite) for front/back. Not easy to get a seamless finish so they just run tape round the edge instead. Simple, cheap and easy. Dano " by-words" them 😎 No idea why committed T-40 owner like myself has one of these but I do😃
