Twincam Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 Well I suppose it can always be changed back, keep original bits and if it makes the instrument more versatile that can't be bad. Might make the bass cut through a bit more? As you mentioned a slight issue with that. Bonus of not having to replace the original treble pot thats suspect too lol. I like the sound of the bass as is, it will be interesting though to do back to back comparison. And hear the difference. Quote
bassmayhem Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 I cannot say anything about the East MM-preamp, but I've installed the J-Retro Deluxe in my both Dingwall Super J basses. A most versatile preamp, and I doubt the MM model would be less versatile and well sounding. And - Mr East is the definition of a true gentleman. A pleasure to deal with... Quote
