***SOLD*** Music Man SUB Sterling bass (USA made) £420

I’m probably gonna regret this.......

A pretty rare sterling SUB. This is one of the original USA made SUBs. 38mm profile. Fantastic condition. Plays great. Currently strung with status flat wounds. The price is a steal for this instrument ( I bought it for this price on this forum).

Weight - between 4.1 and 4.2kg

Price includes delivery.

Using kitchen scales, so not exact, between 4.1 and 4.2kg.

My old bass. I can confirm that this is a great example of the breed and this is a cracking price! If I could sneak this past the wife I’d have it back. Sound wise it’s up there with my PDN Stingray (same pup and 3eq circuit) for about £1400 less.....

Just out of curiosity, did all the Sterling SUBs have unpainted necks? I've had a few SUB Rays and they've all had black painted  necks.

The

sterlings had painted necks too - this seems to have been stripped

I had this one stripped and gloss lacquered professionally when it was in my possession. The original black paint had gone tacky for some reason.

I think so - as far as I'm aware the original USA made SUBS were poplar bodied
