I've had my head turned by another, and this isn't getting any use at the minute so it's time for it to move to new premises...

While a beautiful playing bass, this one definitely sits in the "well used" category! There are multiple dings all over the body (not as many scratches oddly - any there are would certainly polish out), what look like a few finish flaws on the front of the body (finish has sunk into the alder "knots", above and below the pickups) and there is some loss of finish around the rear strap button down to what looks like damage due to a drop/fall. There's also string wear to the pickup covers, wear to the tuning pegs and it could benefit from a fret dress. Also the neck lamination joints can be felt on the back of the neck (no structural issues at all) and the side dots are a TINY bit proud on the top of the neck. None of this damage/wear effects playability.

The bass is still wearing the strings from the previous owner which aren't quite long enough (silks on the wrong side of the nut on the E string) but I'm including a set of Kalium low F tuning strings I bought from Dood earlier in the year (perfect for B tuning), and a set of custom ordered Newtone Diamond 4 string multi-scale strings I ordered when I felt like getting my Devin Townsend on and tuning GCGC (60 - 150, these may or may not be useful...) - both sets unused and still in original packaging. Comes with an excellent Dingwall branded Levy's gig bag and Dingwall toolkit.

I've priced the bass low (as low or lower than any used Dingwall import basses I can recall) to take into account any work the new owner MAY wish to carry out, none of which is absolutely necessary. Trade-wise I'd be interested in a Fender Roadworn Precision (preferably sunburst), Classic 50's or other 50's/60's spec P basses, a Lakland Hollowbody, anything ACG with cash either way.

*EDIT: Given condition of this bass I'll consider close offers from the off*

*EDIT 2: Much better pictures added - these are much more representative of the colour of the bass*

Just to add this is perfectly fine and common for multi-piece necks which have a very thin finish as Dingwalls do. The wood shrinking / growth happens with other multi-piece necks happens too, just less noticeable with thicker finishes. My Super J5 has this, and Sheldon Dingwall explained this to me when we met up and I showed it to him.

Also this is a silly bargain for a Canadian Dingwall!!

I think so,  but nothing is selling at the minute it would seem!

Having said that, I'll not be broken hearted if it stays...
