Removing horn/tweeter

Is it ok to simply remove the horn/tweeter from a 210 cabinet by de-soldering the wires, or will it affect anything?

I suppose if there's a crossover it could stop the higher frequencies going to the other speakers, just disconnect it before the crossover if there is one, doubt you could tell either way though, personally unless you're slapping I've never seen the point of a tweeter in a bass cab, I have mine switched off, not that I can tell if they're on or off
