So I've finally given up on my old fretless, I bought it almost 20 years ago in a pawn shop, and I used it as it was for a long time. It's spent the last ten years in my workshop waiting to have the electronics sorted, and when I went to look at it recently it seems the truss rod is out of adjustment, there's far too much relief and it won't tighten any more. It might be fixable with a washer stack, but maybe not. The neck is in ok condition otherwise.

The electrics when I bought it were set up volume volume tone, with a selector switch and the jack socket has been moved to the front of the bass. As far as im aware the pickups are original, but I can't guarantee that.

The body is pretty beaten up, the worst part is the control cavity is starting to collapse, it seems it took a bang from the front. It's not cracked through and could be repairable with a bit of support from the inside.

The bridge and machine heads are probably the best bit about the bass, they are original and in ok condition. The truss rod cover is missing.

I would really like this to go to someone who would fix it or would use the parts that are there to sort out another similar Ibanez, so any Ibanez enthusiasts will be given preference. The price is a guide as I have really no idea what this is worth to anyone, so offers are accepted. Obviously I have no say on what happens it after, but I'd prefer if it wasn't used to make a quick profit, but rather to be used.

It was really great when it was working with loads of mwah.imageproxy.php?img=&key=4b3806f48250f55a

Trades for 70s Fender bridge saddle, nice Jazz bass pickups or fx pedals would be ideal.

Very much looking forward to giving this a home along-side my 79 fretted Roadster. Looking to restore it myself so I'll post a thread once I get started. I've got a bit of a long-standing love affair with old Ibanez so this is really a project I'm looking forward to!
