Duarte Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 Such precision. Joe Dart is wonderful. I gave Dean Town a go, and the best I could do was get just past the first verse Notice the well placed fade out. Tell ya what, a short scale bass is useful for this kinda stuff. 1 Quote
TheGreek Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 Joe Dart - if he was a guitarist he'd be a household name. Just a bass player - so we'll have to keep him as a closely guarded secret. Quote

Then again there have been very few bass players known to the general public, I mean 'just bass players' rather than band leaders /songwriters who happen to play bass like Sting, Phil Lynott and Mark King. Joe Dart is a fine player for sure and at least will be appreciated by peeps who enjoy modern funky stuff. Quote

Anyone else going? I think it’s sold out already. Indeed they are - afraid I'm not but wish I was. They sound very Steely Dan mid/late 70s to me but what they do is great fun as well - there's a live version of Dean Town where the audience sing along with the bass part - who said no one listens to the bass!!!
