Hobbayne
Came across this old chestnut on the tube. Simple but effective bass playing from young Tom.
Raymondo
I'm not averse to a bit of the old Tom Robinson band ….life was simpler then🙂 I saw the man ,on his own, when he played what is now called the Splendour festival ( I think it was then the plain old Heineken Music festival ) in Nottingham a few years back. His solo rendition of "War Baby" was mightily impressive.😎
casapete
Saw TRB in the late 70’s at Bridlington Spa, really good band. The guitarist (Danny Kurstow?) was particularly impressive, at a time when punk / new wave players often weren’t. I’ve still got their first album somewhere. Steve Browning
Yes. I was a fan back in the day and agree about Danny Kustow, a very fine guitar player. TR seems to be a very genuine and pleasant bloke although I have to disagree with his taste in Cortinas, my 1600E was aubergine.

I remember looking down at a motorway trafficjam running through the centre of Glasgow and at least 9 out of 10 cars were aubergine. G. Norris
I saw him at a festival last year. Although I wasn't particularly a fan, his set was one of the highlights for me. He gave us a bit of his life story as he played through his hits. A very eloquent and entertaining performance. Oh, and it was fantastic hearing 5000 people singing along to Glad To Be Gay at the tops of their voices
