EHX Canyon pedal - problem

Does anyone own an EHX Canyon delay/looper pedal? I have a brand new one and it's excellent apart from one problem: in Octave and Shimmer modes the LED flashes and there is a plopping sound in my amps - in other modes it functions as it should. 
Any thoughts? :-)
