TheGreek
Help and advice needed from the BC massive.. I bought a 2U unit for my Mesa MPulse but the holes don't line up. I don't expect the amp to ever have to come out so I only need the screws to hold long enough to screw the bolts in. My first move was to drill the holes in the Ali moulding on the case and tried to fix the steel screws to the back of moulding. Needless to say, the UHU didn't hold. TBH I didn't really expect it to, just being hopeful. My next attempt was to use some JB Kwikweld. https://www.reichelt.com/gb/en/bonds-just-like-welding-in-4-minutes-jb-kwick-p118366.html?CTYPE=0&MWSTFREE=0&PROVID=2788&gclid=CjwKCAjwq57cBRBYEiwAdpx0vZNEyVVSo85YDua8IJlJGVktdQVAhY50IXdJTcpiQA7vJ1yIa7Tj_xoCFMEQAvD_BwE&&r=1 I covered the nuts, pulled them onto the moulding by using the screws and left it overnight. Came back to it this morning, took the screws out and in doing so dislodged the nuts. Aaaah!! My next thought is to glue some rubber to the nuts, then glue these to the Ali moulding. Anybody have a better suggestion?? Edited August 30, 2018 by TheGreek
SubsonicSimpleton
Try using a socket on a long extension bar to hold the nuts still - you might need to use a UJ extension to get past the rear flange, or you could tape an open jaw spanner to a shatter proof ruler if the gap between the amp/case is very tight. SpondonBassed
I think you need captive nuts Mick. (It's not a thing I've said to many people, I should stress.)

only4
If you can’t reach down the side with the nut blutacked to the end of a stick, then filing your new holes square is the way to go, it’s only allie so shouldn’t be an issue.
Ghost_Bass
Is it too late to sell the rack case and buy a new one with the correct screws: or even better, with adjustable screw spacing: Edited August 30, 2018 by Ghost_Bass

TheGreek
One of my nephews manages the engineering dept where he works. Hoping he can do what needs to be done. Best to delegate to somebody who knows what they're doing.
