RussFM Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 (edited) Finished work early yesterday and drove a 330 mile round trip to pick up a Fender American Standard Jaguar Bass (I don't trust couriers, too many horror stories on here!). I've always wanted a Jaguar since the original Japanese model came out, so when I could finally afford to treat myself I started looking for one and found there was a US version, only available for a couple of years. I found a couple for sale and went for this one. Looks great, is pretty light, and plays really nicely. Looking forward to figuring out the controls this weekend! floFC Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Excellent choice, I have the same one 😁 They don’t come up for sale very often so well done for tracking one down - have fun with all the knobs and switches! Quote
Grahambythesea Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Looks way more complicated than the Squier versions. Very Ventures 😆 Quote
Newfoundfreedom Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Looks great. I really fancy a Jaguar, but it will have to be a Squier because I'm cheap. Quote
machinehead Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 Identical to mine. They are excellent basses and the controls are simple really, but very effective. I hope you enjoy it. Frank. Quote
fretmeister Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 Nice. Always liked them, but never played one. Quote
