I got struck off for having sex with a patient. All that money spent on Veterinary College, wasted. lownote
I had a heart attack three months ago. Never been better. People paid me loads of attention, I got to contemplate death and realised it was for losers. Young women pretended to listen to my crap jokes. Really positive experience. I say go for it. If you get pressure on your breastbone, indigestion, mysterious fevers and a fizzing feeling in your heart - and the cat isn't lying on your chest - call 111 and let the pros take over.
Norris
I thought you were after a bass tab for a Queen song Good luck and do what your doctor says. Usually they prefer you to do some exercise, which gigging is ideal for. If it's causing you stress though that's a different matter

I suspect it comes down to how you feel. Someone else has already said "heart attack" is a catch all term, the effects are many and varied. I used to regularly play with a guy who was really knocked for six by a heart attack, he had to be careful about what he ate and drank but was playing again fairly quickly. It aged him a bit and he was never quite the same , but if you feel well enough to play then why not? Were they qualified Doctors and Nurses or just friends dressed up for the occasion ?

SpondonBassed
All the best with it. There's no challenge in sitting around wrapped up in cotton wool. You will have had proper advice on discharge from the cardiac unit unless you walked out on them. I'm happy for you.
