No harm in having it in your boot. And yes, I fully understand your observation Quote
NickA Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 I'll bring it ( and more importantly, the roll of labels ). In truth I do very occasionally find a missing earth or something 2 Quote
Frank Blank Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 Just had a huge, hot, vegetable dhansak so anyone trying my basses tomorrow might get a right spicy trumpet voluntary in the left ear. That is all. Don’t say you weren’t warned. 2 Quote

Stub Mandrel Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 I've decided it's overkill to bring a stack - I'm assuming people play at civilised levels not gig volumes, so I'll bring the Crush 25... Also I dug out my old Yamaha QY10 and it works great as a simple beat box, jamming along to it sounds vastly more 'musical' than random noodling. 2 Quote
Owen Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 I am sitting in a air bnb in Manchester making a weekend of it with the family. Getting everything out of the car, into the lift and up 4 floors was joyous. 1 1 Quote
Bassman Sam Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 My wife has decided that she wont be coming after all. She thought there was going to loads of live bands, not just bass geeks. Plus, she was upset that there was no Intu malls nearby. 1 Quote

jazzyvee Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 (edited) My Saturday plans have changed so i will pop down and bring a 5 string and a couple of 4 stringers long and short scale. Alembics. Im still not used to others playing my basses so please understand if i look paranoid whilst handing it over. I like to keep all my instruments in pristine condition so No picks please and no clothing or jewellery lanyards etc that may damage the finish. Edited May 4, 2019 by jazzyvee 1 Quote
Frank Blank Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 I just had a lovely drive from Rugeley to Doveridge, just to get my bearings really, but it’s so nice here in the village hall car park basking in the sun I might just have a kip until kick off... ...zzz. 2 Quote

Were I not diabetic I’d be on them, it’s only a 30 second stroll from the village hall, I can heartily recommend it. Cheers @jebroad I’ve got a good book. 1 Quote
