The availability enabled by the internet generally is the problem. In 50 years of playing bass I owned 3 basses for the first 25 years (pre internet) and 11 bases in the last 25 years (post internet). Only 1 of these basses was bought from BC, the rest from other online sources. I haven't bought a bass for 6 years so I think I'm done. Maybe. lozkerr
As a relative newbie, I'm still playing catch-up, but I seem to be making headway: Pre-Basschat Ibanez GSR200 Eden EC8 Boss ME-50B multi-effects unit Post-Basschat MIA Fender Jazz Deluxe V Stagg EUB Steinberger Spirit V Cheap no-name five-string Artisan Eden Metro Eden WTX-264 Eden WTP600 Eden E300T 2 x 210 cabs, a 118 cab and a 112 cab Eden Glowplug Eden WTXI pre-amp pedal Plus a couple of keyboards, a PA, a lighting rig and a couple of guitars. And I still have everything apart from the Ibanez, which I gave to Girls Rock School a couple of weeks ago. There's no hope for me, is there? 1

You have arrived on the Dark Side of which there is no return. Good start tho and think of all the exciting GAS times you will have ahead of you. Quilly
I see photos of me playing about 4 years ago and everything I'm playing had since been replaced. The old gear I had was actually all good gear.

amnesia
I'm lucky enough to own some really nice basses...so in April I joined the 15+ month long build queue of a one-man-luthier in Finland...because one more can't hurt. Right? RIGHT?!?? Edited July 26, 2022 by amnesia
