Happy Jack Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 Alternatively, it's a complete pile of poo. Your call. Quote
operative451 Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 dangit, that would have been ideal for the Ex-V.. Oh well.... Quote
Maude Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 Have a look at the last picture folks and never ever grumble again about basses in shops with the action too high. 😂 Quote
Baxlin Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 (edited) Looks like the body's sunk just below the pickup, judging by the shadow cast by the string. Apart from that, wouldn’t mind having a go, but that’s outside my skill limits. Edited September 4, 2018 by Baxlin Quote

It seems to be running WAY off the side of the neck... Look at the 2nd to last picture. You shouldn't be able to see the string from the back! Edited September 4, 2018 by Bigwan Quote
Bassassin Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 Bear in mind it lacks a nut or a functioning bridge. A £15 car boot project, but will be massively compromised by also being a wretchedly abused 45-year old cheapo with an unreinforced hollow body that's too flimsy for the one string it has. Will be amusing to see what it sells for. Quote
yorks5stringer Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 Should'nt the string be over the bridge? Quote
Bassassin Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 Yes - should be a separate single saddle sitting on top of the base plate, with the string(s) passing over that . Can't quite work out what's going on here. Quote
TheGreek Posted September 6, 2018 Author Posted September 6, 2018 It's crept up to £62 - exceeded what I thought it would sell for. Quote
Bassassin Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 And finished at £77. Someone likes a challenge. And chucking money away. Quote
