He's a modest fellow so I'll just tell you all about Alun's Christmas Tunes arrangements - melodies and flashy chordal stuff, Dots and Tab.
There's 10 Christmas Classics that you could learn for your turn at the family Christmas dinner performance and wow them all :)

He has it for sale (electronic download) a very reasonable £3 from
BassBook

You get some free lessons too ...

Thanks OG :)

The songs included are...

10 Christmas chordal arrangements for solo bass in notation and tablature

Auld Lang Syne, Away In a Manger, Ding Dong Merrily On High/Deck The Halls, In The Bleak Midwinter, Jingle Bells, Joy To The World, O Come All Ye Faithful, O Little Town of Bethlehem, Silent Night, The First Noel

11 Christmas melodies specially transposed to “easy” open keys ( ideal for less experienced players) in notation and tablature

As above, but “Ding Dong Merrily On High” and “Deck The Halls” are presented as seperate pieces

2 mini lessons

An introduction to natural harmonics and a lesson on the two handed tapping technique used for the arrangement of “Jingle Bells”

So how do you get it? All you have to do is go along to http://bassbook.co.uk where you can pay by credit/debit card or Paypal by clicking on the Buy Now button. Once I receive your payment, I email you the zip file - it’s that easy  I will also send you a link to performance notes to assist in playing the arrangements.

Cheers and thanks again Si for buying one

Hi all, and thank you:)

All orders are sending as I type. Unfortunately I'm still doing things the old fashioned way, so apologies for the delay :)

I think allowing myself just over a year to learn that tapping version of "Jingle Bells" may be faintly optimistic, but we'll see.

Cheers Alun.

Festive bump :)

Just cheekily mentioning that this is stil available for a bargain £3 from http://www.bassbook.co.uk/shop.htm and also from Learn The Low End ( which is a fab site if you've not been there - loads of good stuff!).

If you get it from Learn The Low End, it's immediately available, if you buy from Bassbook I'll email it to you as soon as I get to my laptop (usually within 24 hours at the absolute most).

Cheers
Alun

AH - this is what I needed to hear. Going to buy your book now - I hate christmas songs/carols etc. but was really interested in trying some solo bass stuff and the arrangement of O Holy Night on that page there seems excellent to me.

Cheers mate.

Volume 2 next year?
