I hope it is a simple fix too! It's going to be something like a weird battery or loose connection!

That said, the Jerzy Drozd pickups are wax potted. Is it that the very bass coming from North Africa ? When yes, the wax may have melted during transport, which could be the explanation. Remember we had an awful overheated summer.

What preamp is installed? If it has a gain control inside, has it been turned up too much?
