toneknob Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 Perfect! Gator Icon does the job. Just need to repack it so Santa can redeliver in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the assist! 2 Quote
Lozz196 Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 Nice one, always good to know of the range of bags that fit these. Quote
ezbass Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Not as robust as the ICON case, but this Gator bag will work and is way more affordable https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Gator-GB-4G-JMASTER-Gig-Bag-for-Jazzmaster-Guitars/5EB4 2 Quote

I’m using one Thomann’s own Beatbass bags. Does the job, but a bit cheap n’ cheerful. The one external pocket is a bit too small, also. Quote
Paul S Posted January 27 Posted January 27 For a tight(wad) budget, all my short scales (incl. Fender Mustang, Gibson SG) fit into this Thomann E-Guitar gig bag deluxe, currently £25 which is £2 less than I paid a couple of years ago. A couple of my medium scales also fit in it, although a recent Aria Pro II CSB is a little bit too long. It has a decent amount of padding, more than good enough to caddy from car to gig/rehearsal. And it fits sideways in my boot, which I like. https://www.thomann.co.uk/thomann_gigbag_deluxe_egitarre.htm 1 Quote

ezbass Posted February 12 Posted February 12 (edited) Just seen on Facebook that the Sire U5 gigbag is a fit for the Mustang. https://www.andertons.co.uk/sire-bass-gig-bag-for-u5-series/ Pics here for those who FB https://www.facebook.com/groups/116321885064706/permalink/25321547407448806/? Was always tempting because it looked so much like the Serek gigbag https://serekbasses.com/product/serek-basses-heavy-duty-gig-bag/ To which the large size fits a Rickenbacker perfectly but nothing longer like a p or j bass. tayste_2000 Posted February 12 Posted February 12 …. to which I see they have 3 bag sizes, V (Fender size right?), M (More modern 2 x 2 headstock ones right?), U5 Shortscale https://www.andertons.co.uk/sire-bass-bag-for-m-series/ So if that fits my Ric, that’s a wayyyyyyy cheaper option than the serek plus shipping and duties etc. Quote
BassAgent Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Does anyone know of double bags that fit 2 Mustangs? I'm going on a tour in April and I'd like to take both my Mustangs along. Quote

The Gator Guitar Vault will also hold 2 Mustangs but it’s not exactly a gigbag 1 Quote
Adee Posted February 20 Posted February 20 I've been using the GATOR PROGO DOUBLE GUITAR BAG for my JMJ, Lionel and Stingray, great quality and very rigid, cracking bag for the money You just need to take out the removable pads at the bottom 1 Quote
BassAgent Posted March 11 Posted March 11 I bought this Ritter for an absolute bargain. Not a big fan of Ritters in General but this is just for one tour and I didn't want to spend Mono or Gator money for that. Will report back once its in 1 Quote
BassAgent Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Well, they fit. Just. It's a very very tight squeeze but it fits. 1 Quote

They are a bit wider, I think. Quote

My Maruszczyk Elwood L (J type) has a full size body and 33” scale. The body fits absolutely fine, the head is a bit tight, but fits, pretty good for an SS gigbag. So in answer to your question, yeah, I reckon so. 1 Quote
