cLepto-bass Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 I am currently seeking input and advice on the best capos us use with a wide neck. The one I currently have is not long enough so in need of a quality alternative. What are people using? What should I stay away from? It needs to be sturdy, strong and robust as I do tend to have a heavy touch. Quote
CameronJ Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 I feel like this is the kind of thing @ambient might know? 1 Quote
ambient Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 (edited) Depends how wide the neck is really. I did experiment with one on my 6 string Modulus a couple of years ago, that had quite narrow 17mm string spacing, I used a classical guitar capo. It was by planet waves: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Planet-Waves-Classical-Guitar-Capo/dp/B000OZ981I/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1536177247&sr=8-2-spons&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=classical+guitar+capo&psc=1 A friend of mine uses one quite frequently, I’ll ask him what he uses.
