donslow
Hi all, for sale here Ive got a bitsa precison bass that I put together that just isnt getting as much use as I thought it would so have decided to part it out to fund a new build I have recently started Please do read carefully, I am also more than happy to be corrected if the prices seem too high or if any information listed is incorrect, please PM me and I'll adjust as necessary All prices quoted include UK postage and are open to reasonable near offers All items will come with screws or plates as necessary £5 off of all individual prices First Up......... Candy Apple Red body - £35 £30 I bought this body a couple of years ago from someone on here, cannot remember who exactly, at the time the seller said he didnt know the origin of the body but highly suspected it was a squier, Im not too sure myself, the neck pocket is stamped with what looks like "SGB 8000" f that helps anyone identify it at all?! Body is in good nick, a couple of small paint chips here and there, a couple of extra screw holes where someone at some point has added a thumb rest, other than that, all good 3 ply BWB pickguard - £18 £13 Bought off of here around the same time as the body from "The Greek" if I recall correctly, I dont recall if he mentioned where it was from but matches this body perfectly, good nick, no marks or anything to be concerned about, shielded behind the pots American Standard(?!) Pickups and Kiogan solderless loom with knobs - £45 £40 These pickups I believe are American standard pickups that I took out of my 2007 Highway One precision and have since replaced with Seymor Duncan SPB3's, comes with Kiogan solderless loom and knobs on top, the thread on the tone pot has been cross threaded at some point but does still work as it should, the pot just doesnt sit completely straight on the guard, other than that, all working as it should! Ive taken pictures of the bottom of the pickups if that helps for identification purposes at all?! Squier VM Precision Neck with string tree and tuner ferrules - £42 £37 Firstly, this is NOT a Fender neck nor am I trying to claim it to be! Squier VM neck that I have added a decal to on the headstock, it was my full intention to have this bass as a keeper so I had a decal made up with the serial number matching the birth dates of my kids, as I say, I wasnt intending to get rid of it but its just not getting used and I have a build that I'm trying to fund also, The decal has been applied by myself, badly, as there is an ever so slight crease in it under the lacquer, I can however rub this down and removes the decal altogether if any potential buyers wish. I did also rub the back of the neck down and leave it as smooth, bare wood in the hope of geting a naturally roadworn look on it and it seems to have begun quite nicely, there was also a wood slither that came away under the D string ferrule and I have managed to stick it back and keep it stuck. A decent, comfortable neck, working truss rod, all as it should be Rotosound 45-105 Flatwound strings - £18 £13 Cut for this precision, has been on the bass a couple of months, had no more than 2 hours play time, still good as new Trade wise, Im looking for any parts that will help with my '51 precision bass build, mostly just a maple neck and pickup at this stage, if anyone has a Harley Benton PB50 that I could salvage for parts laying around, I'd certainly consider swaps/trades for one of those! PM me if your interested in more than one of the above items and I'm sure we can agree on something Any questions or need for more photo's, drop me a PM and I'll get back to you as soon as I can! Enough talking, time for pictures........... Edited September 12, 2018 by donslow
