If you strategically put your thumb over the top of the 'single cut' and close one eye accordingly to blot out the shame of that section of the body shape it's actually a very reasonable design, assuming you can trick your mind into believing it's a true single cut and that it isn't some kind of shameful status streamliner wannabe. Copious amounts of acid helps with this process. (Disclaimer: visions of Satan crawling up your leg with a knife between his teeth are a natural by product of acid taking.)

Yeah it had potential but is poorly executed. The heel of the neck is near the 12th fret FFS so good luck finding anything comfortable to play above that position.

It could work if the heel was profiled down to a smooth transition that scalloped inward from the 24th fret to the upper bout of the cutaway in my poorly photoshopped pic. But as a single cut without the single cut it certainly lacks actually playability!

You could almost say it was this basses Achilles'....

Assuming you could find a brown paper bag to cover up the rest of the bass...

My offer of £100 was rejected - i thought it was fair given the potential difficulty in selling it on if it was unplayable and  the hideous colour and weird shape .

I'm glad it was this morning !

That's a different bass, aside from the darker colour (could be put down to lighting/filters) the grain on the back is different:

Can't be that good if half of them are up for sale at the same time! Ugly as sin anyway, also what's with the bridge and pickups being lopsided on the maple laminate part? Looks really odd but both of them have it so it must be deliberate. Treble side is touching the body wings, bass side you can see maple:

My BC Rich has a similar offset problem - it's because the (tapered) fingerboard has been fitted with the top edge parallel to the wing edge, the centre line should be parallel instead.

Edit - looking again I don't think this is the case.

Looks like it's the stain. I'd assume the body wings were coloured after they were joined to the neck, & that's a masking error.

Just makes it a tiny bit more vile.

They had one in forsyths in Manchester for about 3 years.

I thought it was a joke they were playing.

looks like an ugly status streamliner got pregnant with triplets.
