Potential thought process behind modification: "I'm a little drunk. It's the middle of the day. I've got all this sandpaper and a bass I no longer play. The next door neighbour needs four knobs for his bakelite radio. I know what I'll do..."

"It was a bass guitar a band called NEO TOKYO used, they were friends with BRING ME THE HORIZON."

Guess what......I won...outrageous price...have a look.

Plan is to have a new body made - considering SC...definitely a convex body...a la Spector or Warwick. Obviously I'll be asking a BC luthier to do the work.

Details to follow.

If the neck is good then that's a bargain :)

Absolutely for that neck and the electronics but would it not be a cheaper option to get the body reshaped and resprayed rather than a new body built?

When you carved your name into the body, you spelled it wrong Andy.

What’s really annoying about this bass is that the unsanded parts and hardware suggests it was in perfectly good nick when it was modified.
