Does anyone know if Warwick ever produced a German made Thumb Shortscale four string?? The long scale I had was way  too heavy and too much of a stretch for my old arms ☹️

The closest I've found and it was very good actually, was the Far East manufactured Corvette Shortscale.

They'll make you anything you want, at a price in their custom shop...
They have definitely made at least one short scale custom 4 Thumb BO that I know of, but literally, they will pretty much consider making anything these days, a lottery win would probably help.

Like you wouldn't imagine, I expect you'd be looking at around £4000 for a bolt on 4 string Thumb Shortie.
Personally, I'd speak to one of our extremely talented more local builders to see what they could do for you. The recipe for the Thumb sound is no secret any one can buy Bubinga, Wenge and MEC electronics...

Personally, I'd speak to Alan at ACG, he won't build you a short scale Thumb, but he'll build you something way better

Have you ever seen the 90's Vester Clipper?  Looks a bit like a Thumb but with less of a stretch (still full scale); fraction of the cost and not badly put together.

Their custom shop prices are utterly rediculous, I priced up a Thumb 5 through neck before, where the only change was a 35" scale, it came in at about €7k

I know someone selling one of them I think.... They are a step or two above the Westfield bass @TheGreek meantioned.

Also while they will all have more reach my thumb is a tiny bit under 9lb which is hardly heavy.... 

mind you ACG or Alpher could make a pretty good thumb sounding bass
