PaulThePlug
Looking back over this thread, a lot of pics are no longer available... Love the body shape and the 'tiered' top half and Rick and Thunderbird esq center. Is their a particukar reason your design is not Thru Neck? Can we have a closer pic of the Feather / Scale top bout... Please? Wonderful Work.

PaulThePlug
So the feather and scale like tiers get sanded away in to a contour? I ratgher liked them, thought they looked stunning! Or is it just down to the angle and lighting? Edited May 31, 2022 by PaulThePlug

Simon.
Nice! Always liked that 4-string. Simple, but different. 👍
Sidlanir
The Bass Bridge is an essential link in the tone chain, ranking right up there with your Bass’s pickups and the wood the body is made from in setting the core tone of the instrument, especially if you want to hear deep, harmonically rich resonance throughout the body of the Bass Guitar. The more components a Bass Bridge has, the more energy is lost in the transmission, and the less part of the Bass’s frequency spectrum is passed back to the strings. Do bass bridges make a difference? Bass players have long debated how exactly a new bass bridge changes the tonality of the Bass. There's no consensus: some claim to be able to hear the differences, while others say that they're just listening to a placebo effect. Do fixed Bass Bridges have more sustain? Having a fixed Bass Bridge on your Bass will allow you to set up lower string action. Fixed Bass Guitar bridges have more contact with the Bass Guitar's body, which results in better sustain than Bass Guitars with floating bridges. This fact may be the purchase point for some Bassist ….
Sidlanir
As a Bass builder & designer myself there are so many different body shapes with similarities… if someone post a Fender copy it’s not a problem, no comments about the design, as it’s considered by the majority as normal ….My design is unique & it’s not a copy .... Cheers

Richard R
That I like a LOT. Could it be made with the headstock matching the light wood on the body? With the black string mounts on top it would then echo the body beautifully. Please don't make a 5 string version, I can't afford it!
