Oh dear, Mick, was it you who let that lovely bass slip through your hands? If it's making a Sadowsky sweat (which tbf I would have kinda expected, but hey I'm just a teeny bit biased) then it's serious quality! @AndyTravis what is it about the seriously good looking, sculpted body, reverse PJ set up and Spector punch that makes you partial to this bass? 1 Quote

Erm. Dunno. I like playing it. And it sounds good. Very “direct” sounding. But it can’t do the slightly pushed vintage thing the Sadowsky has nailed on. So, if I could get both sounds in one, I’d be made up. Quote

Eldon Tyrell Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 The future of rock, the future of bass playing, with one stunning looking Spector bass 😀 Quote
Chris2112 Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Who is she? Forgive me if I'm being rude, reverse searching the image on Google doesn't bring up a match. Quote

Alejandra Villarreal, bass player in "The Warning" together with her two sisters. They are really good. Quote

C'mon, she is just 15 years old and I really hope "The Warning" will be huge with their record deal. This is the next generation and we really need some new rock bands. I am sick of all the EDM stuff and I hope more and more kids of EDM listening parents want to rebel and re-discover good old fashioned rock. That's why I also like Nandi Bushell who is a great drummer for her age (10, I think). She will join the Foo Fighters on stage at a concert when they tour the UK next. I will be there 🙂 BTW, Ale will also have a Spector sig bass next year. Someone over at FB showed it. It is a bit too bling (sparkly gold) for my taste but great to see Spector supporting young talent 👍 Quote
Al Krow Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Just had a listen. I'm mean they're ok, but a bit Evanescence Lite. I'm with @cetera on this one. Quote

They sound good, they are clearly competant as a rock band, and hope they do well for their sakes, but there are no real edges being pushed there are there? 1 hour ago, Eldon Tyrell said: I am sick of all the EDM stuff and I hope more and more kids of EDM listening parents want to rebel and re-discover good old fashioned rock. They are still "teenagers" and I think they have the potential to go places. Opening for band such as Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Alice Cooper and the Killers is definitely a good start, don't you think? When I was that age, I was not playing in a band, I was not even playing an instrument but listening to "Who's that girl", "The Living Daylights" and "Never gonna give you up" on the radio 😉 Quote

Let's see how far they can take it. I wish them all the best 👍 Sure, feel free to listen to EDM. Still hope rock will have a (mainstream) comeback. Maybe this pandemic just makes me nostalgic and I just want it to be 1991 all over again 😞 Quote

Although as much as I love the idea of the bass that we both have our eye on, I struggle to believe it will outshine some of the Spector beauties already in your herd! Nice one, I think it is called creating a "cognitive dissonance". Don't worry, I was only teasing you, the BB is not on my radar, so please, "listen to your heart" (yes, nostalgic today) 🙂 Quote
