So to update - i managed to get the sweep/blend pot working and got a lovely beefy sound with it set slightly to the neck pup.  Alas, today its back to only working on the bridge pup side and anything anti-clockwise from the centre indent gets progressively quieter until all volume is lost when fully counterclockwise.  Defo needs investigation from someone much more competent than me.  Could either be neck pup or pot

Finally in the rock and roll hall of fame 😎

To be honest taking it so long it just shows how incompetent bunch is that RNRHOF is. Same goes for so many not even inducted and for some that were inducted and got nothing to do with "rock'n'roll" Morons.

Sorry for being a bit edgy, I have other problems like trying to talk myself out of buying a Classic 5 and a Euro 5 LT.  First world problems I know but we are on a bass forum, right? 🙂

You are probably right. However, this year, so far, I have bought five basses and sold 9 (plus one on sale), so, technically, I am still at -4 (-5) 😉

This has rapidly become bass of preference in my collection of 2. Euro5LX - My first Spector, but what an instrument. Looking forward to recording with it in a few months time. Been writing our latest album for over two years with it.

Shot from Fridays gig

Sounds very tempting, esp. the gloss black or white finish (classic Spector colours)

•Nut: 1.5” - Ian Hill shape neck

Sounds confusing. The Ian Hill neck shape is my fav due to the neck being a bit less chunky (front to back) but the nut width is 1.64'', not 1.5''.

1.5'' is the Doug Wimbish neck shape.

It’s a custom run with those specs. May not be for everyone, but a shallower neck with a 1.5” nut is spot on for me 👍

Interesting, so it is something totally new, an Ian Hill/Doug Wimbish neck shape mix. Did you come up with it? If yes, then they should call it the hiriam.k.hackenbacker neck shape 🙂
