cetera
If you're happy I'm not sure why you'd change something? I don't like the DG pre, which is why I'm swapping mine out...

I'm also getting at least one set from him once I get around ordering, the Aguilar OBP will be replaced by it in the white Euro 435.
woolf
I’ve got the EMG BTS preamp in my CRFM euro, I am happy with the sound but I could be tempted to try the LHZ out of curiosity. Can anyone comment if the LHZ is likely to sound more similar to a TonePump or the BTS?

Haha yeah! I guess it's curiosity as the Haz is said to be such a part of the sound! I find the Darkglass pre very aggressive though, don't use much of it but it does give me what I like! Can anyone comment if the LHZ is likely to sound more similar to a TonePump or the BTS? I've had a total of 4 in my CRFM including a mighty mite copy and all preamps have their own tone. The LHZ is a HAZ copy then its closer to a tonepump than a BTS is. I've never actually played through a real Haz however the LHZ is far the best sounding of the ones ive tested.
Bigwan
This is giving me strange feelings in the trouser region... And I really didn't think it would do it for me after seeing a few on TB before... https://bassbros.co.uk/product/2021-usa-spector-ns4-shoreline-ultraviolet/

cetera
Very nice! Euro ltd order runs are possible with a minimum order of approx 25 pieces. That's how I organised the Euro X basses last year...
Paulhauser
I'm seriously tempted but the import tax+VAT put me off a bit and also wonder if the very light weight - 3.39 kgs! - means neck dive.....
Woodinblack
The RST I had which was the lightest bass ever had no neck dive.
Eldon Tyrell
There is also a retailer in Germany, selling a Euro Classic Aged 80s. I am not a fan of relic'd basses but YMMV: https://www.station-musicshop.de/epages/64398533.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/64398533/Products/6770-6814 1 1

Thank you for the information, they then were able to strike a balance between light body and light neck, something that wasn’t quite as successful with the weight relived Classic 5 I have (which I love nevertheless) edit: yours was a four or five string model? Woodinblack
It was the 5 sienna burst. Really incredibly light and resonant. A very good bass really - so totally different from the Euro, which weighs a ton
Killerfridge
I have (what was) Woodinblack's RST and I can confirm it is crazy light with no dive; its party trick is handing it to people and seeing their face when they realise just how light it is. Paulhauser
@Woodinblack @Killerfridge guys, you are not helping, I'm trying to talk myself out of thinking about getting it 🙂

Some colour selection is permitted within the order, right? 😄 😄 Anyway, here are videos of these limited editions for what it's worth. As much as I haven't really liked the RST's sound with the Aguilars these are quite great sounding with the Spector DNA intact. MichaelDean
Don't know this floats anyone else's boats, but I thought the crowd here might be interested. A Thomann 70th anniversary matte finish Spector Dimension, in maple & walnut. If I had the money, I'd have ordered one already! https://www.thomann.de/gb/spector_ns_dimension_ms_4_walnut.htm
Paulhauser
Thanks @MichaelDean I haven't seen these yet. They do have 5 string version, too. Would have loved it to have EMG i/o Fishman.
