tom1946
As title, I need to run 3x mikes (SM58's) from 1 acoustic amp, the amp has 48v phantom power so I suppose any splitter won't need it? I am a complete novice at this and only know what I've read on the internet. Any advice gratefully received on which box and even if I'm doing it right. Thanks, Tom. grandad
http://www.shure.com/americas/support/find-an-answer/can-i-parallel-microphones-into-one-input-of-my-mixer Better still get a small mixer e.g. https://www.google.com/search?q=mg10xu&client=firefox-b&source=lnms&tbm=shop&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjtvLSg_tzdAhWrIsAKHQmqCKgQ_AUIDigB&biw=1280&bih=686#spd=2954191205628418894 You don't need 48V phantom with SM58's, leave it switched off. tom1946
Thanks Grandad, I was hoping for something a bit cheaper and less complicated, I did see one on thomann for 25 quid but can't find it now...

tom1946
That looks perfect, I can't see any drawbacks with it? It won't be plugged into a mixer, just and aux input on a big powered speaker.
rmorris
It seems you want to put 3 x Mics into one input. So that's not really a 'Splitter' application. That would be more taking a signal from one mic and splitting it to feed more than one input eg a recorder and a mixer. The ART Promix gives you what you need - I'd say the individual level controls are a necessity. It's not a cheap option for you though. If I were spending in that range I'd probably look at spending a bit more on a 'real' mixer - Soundcraft Notepad series etc - that would give you more connectivity options plus individual mic EQ. But maybe you require a physically smaller solution ? You can sometimes pick up discontinued Notepads etc on ebay for £30 or so. But make sure they have the PSU if you're not equipped to get one together yourself. They are +/- 17Vac - technically simple but not easy to get and everyone hates the connector ! tom1946
Hi Morris, I do need a smaller solution hence the Art, I don't want to drag my Yamaha mixer down there really. Thanks for the input.
Matt P
what bout one of the tiny Mixers that are available? something like this, not much bigger than the Art but about half the price, https://www.thomann.de/gb/kustom_pa4ex.htm it has a 2 band eq on each channel as well. the smaller Behringer mixers add in some stereo channels as well, perfect for adding a Mp3 player or a laptop. (they also double up as great little headphone practice units, i used one for years before swapping to a Focusrite Scarlett and a PC) Matt

TheGreek
You can pick up a micro mixer for under £20. I have three which I've picked up as future raffle prizes. https://www.thomann.de/gb/behringer_micromix_mx400.htm?glp=1 https://www.gear4music.com/PA-DJ-and-Lighting/SoundLab-4-Channel-Mono-Microphone-Mixer-With-Effects/1XYX?origin=product-ads&campaign=PLA+Shop+-+GENERIC&adgroup=GENERIC&medium=vertical_search&network=google&merchant_id=1279443&product_id=90681d1&product_country=GB&product_partition_id=366051277418&gclid=Cj0KCQjw0dHdBRDEARIsAHjZYYCzJ4BnCfCshlbz0ZyLGQ94WR97guX8vCpAQFoQh5ZgLz4huc_5acwaAmhBEALw_wcB https://www.amazon.co.uk/Prosound-Channel-Stereo-Microphones-Instruments/dp/B000KFXFIY
