EHX Bass Metaphors bargain

Just picked one of these up from my local PMT. Yes, there are pedals out there that may do it better than this but £39....! Tried it at rehearsal last night and it works perfectly for what I wanted it to do (DI, distortion, compression and the ability to blend the dry signal in with the processed signal). Just thought i'd share in case anyone is on the look out for one.

Good deal, just had a look on ebay and GAK have the same deal. Might get one just to thicken up the practice amp. Cheers.

Do you know what distortion EHX uses for this? If it's the OD Glove, I would be very tempted. 

Do you know also if the bass and treble is boost AND cut?

I A/B tested the distortion sound on the Metaphors alongside a bass big muff pedal and they both sounded very similar to my ears. I believe the treble & bass eqs are boost only. Hope that helps.

So the metaphors arrived at work today. Its bigger than I thought it would be (certainly bigger than the beloved sansamp) so it may not see any board time. I'll certainly give it a shot at home or recording though.
