stewblack
So we were asked to minimise kit in order to bring fewer cars and to help us with multiple stairs. Sounds great but the drummer looks like he's 10ft tall

skidder652003
so you only brought 2 basses then?
mrtcat
That's one amp and one cab more than I usually take to a gig.
stewblack
I usually take 2 of everything. The basses I refuse to compromise on. Everything else I stripped back but no spare guitar? Never!

stewblack
Generally just in case. I dread equipment failure
jacko
Very pretty. If you want to keep them that way, I'd unplug the lead when the bass is in it's stand otherwise you can guarantee a guitarist will trip over it and bring the whole thing crashing down.

If it’s active, you will also run the battery down a lot quicker.
stewblack
I don't leave active basses plugged in and always unplug after a soundcheck. Good advice though.
goblin
Godda love these hard to access gigs with difficult load ins. I've got one coming up at The Boisdale in Canary Wharf, and they're put on the paperwork to avoid coming in on the car and bring public transport. I reckon I can do that, double Harvest on my back with some bits in the pockets, PedalTrain Jnr fits in my travel cabin case, plus clothes, ancillaries and such, and the 'board has a proper DI on it, so I'll just DI to PA and get a return to IEM!

BobVbass
that's' one guitar and a bigger amp and cab than I regularly use - I get all my stuff in the boot of a mini

Markbass amp being the most recent. A wedding, I was depping. Approving looks from the band when I switched to my spare.
