lowregisterhead Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 (edited) For sale is my 2015 Lakland USA 55-Dual J 5-string in tobacco burst. I bought it on here a few months ago (the original sale listing link is at the bottom of this post) and added a John East Uni-Pre, but the passive pots and knobs are included in the sale, as is the Lakland lined case shown in the pictures. It's in really nice condition, with only a couple of small, barely visible dinks on the body, and a chip in the finish at the edge of the control cavity, as shown in the pictures. The neck is completely unmarked. It's light, resonant, balances beautifully, and sounds fabulous. The only reason I'm selling is I already have a DJ5 (with quite a few modifications, admittedly) and I can't justify keeping both, so the more valuable of the two is going. TRADE NOW PENDING Specs: Lakland Vintage Single coil pickups. 35'' scale, 19mm spacing at the bridge. Alder body, rosewood fingerboard. 1.79'' (45.3mm) nut width. 3.88 kg (8.56 lbs). Delano pickups, and a John East DJ Retro preamp. Although it didn't really need it, I had a separate battery battery compartment routed into the back of the bass. The John East preamp is brilliant, and no modification is required - it just drops straight in. 1

eneade Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 Is there still a passive tone control with the East pre ?

thepurpleblob Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 Got one... incredible bass. Don't discount because it doesn't have all the bits and bobs the "usual" Laklands have. The neck is just the best and B string is the best I've heard. 1
