missis sumner
I managed to buy one off Ebay, and got it on the bass but I can't adjust the screw enough to bring the drop tuning up to D? The highest it will go is C sharp. I've attached links to two photos. The first is in the E position, the second is in the dropped position. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yRntJ9p4Kfx0muQV0Cf9Xtn2_v1jh1GX/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/1B6tpkuo_tzqWOUF3M6PPnvROfRKvBED9/view?usp=sharing Have I installed it correctly? Do I just need a longer screw? Edited October 6, 2018 by missis sumner
ezbass
That doesn’t look like the original screw, it should be much longer and have a knurled head for adjustment.
missis sumner
Oh, bugger. It appears to be an odd thread, as well. I've tried four slightly longer ones, and although they will wind in a bit by hand, they stop a couple of turns in.
ezbass
I’ve found Hipshot to be a very helpful company, email them and see if they can supply a spare screw.
