Yamaha RBX?

Can anyone help me with this Yamaha please.  I was told it was made in 2002.

I need to know the exact model and where it's made.

Model number is usually on the headstock, looks more like a TRBX with that headstock shape.

It's one of the BBs from that era, don't recall the numbering convention but something like a BB604

I was going to say it looks more like a BB than an RBX.

I think it’s a BBG4, passive version. Except it seems to have a Nathan model style roundover in the lower cutaway.

Likely made in Taiwan.

Not sure but Google agrees with Taiwan too.

Yup, looking at pix on Google right now, I think you're right about it being active. It was the Jazz type pickups that threw me.

Agree with Andy, it is a BB604, mine is the wine red version.

Transfer on back reads " Made by Kaohsiung Yamaha Co.Ltd. in Taiwan in accordance with specifications of Yamaha Corporation"

Very nice instruments with versatile active circuitry.

Yup - definitely a BB604. They came in black, wine red sunburst and natural.

They are very good basses - nice solid hardware, active circuitry with a so called 'mid sweep' activated by the toggle switch and controlled by the knob nearest the bottom of the guitar.

I've got one and I love it. Mine is from 2003 I think - they're that sort of era.
