Happy Jack
Here's my old one: And here's my current one: And the two of them together cost less than he wants for the one in that listing!
yorks5stringer
Do they have a built in 'delay' function?
Grahambythesea
The overhead wires might get damaged!
Hellzero
I bought mine (red) new with the silver "Cosmos 1999" bag for 250 Euros, back in the early 90's, so it's a crazy price tag for a second hand in a poor condition.
Bassassin
The price on that example is somewhat urealistic, but really does make me wish I'd bought one 15 or so years ago when you pretty much couldn't give them away. These & the solid-body Westone Quantums were seen as ridiculous, dated junk and would've struggled to make £100 a few years back.

Marc S
Never saw one of these in the flesh. I had a Westone Thunder Jet back in the day - great bass that was In fact, I've seen many a Westone for sale lately, that I've considered under-priced (they really are great 80's Japan quality basses) But at that price, it seems very expensive. Still, if you really want one, there can't be too many around for sale out there....
Happy Jack
They're decent basses and the sliding pickup idea works surprisingly well, but they were built down to a budget and they were let down by the electrics, especially the pickup. My black one has a Dark Star pickup and all-new wiring and it sounds absolutely wonderful. I sold the red one years ago precisely because it sounded so meh. Count Bassy
I don't have one of these, but I do have a Quantum. (Bought for it's 32" scale and its compactness). I love the sound, but have moved on to 5 strings.
