Refinishing/staining a bass?

So I have this natural stained bass (left), it looks ok, but i'd love it to look like this stained finish (right).

Does anyone know a company capable of refinishing and or staining to do this for me?

Personally I'd forget about staining it.

Problem is, stain needs to soak into bare wood. To do that every bit of the existing finish / sealer has to be removed, otherwise you end up with a patchy / spotty finish where the stain has failed to penetrate in some areas. Ask me how I know that ....

If you really need to change the colour, a respray over the top is probably the only realistic solution.

Yes, a full fat usa peavey cirrus....stunning!!!....please don't touch it.

I know what you mean, its gorgeous, but I've always wanted the other finish and with Peavey Custom Shop closed, and the only Cirrus production now being the Indonesian ones I have no option, even a guy at Peavey suggested finding a local luthier to sort it.

I can do this, but for now, unfortunately I don't do gloss finishes... Can't correctly varnish anything without a good tempered room and with an antidust system...  But stain ok, refin too
