Guest gazzatriumph
Get a TC electronics RH750/450 which has three presets, job done.
Chopthebass
I use a Bassbone with one bass in preamp A and one in B. Then footswitch between the two. Separate gain and three band eq too.
MoonBassAlpha
If your eventual solution involves physically unplugging one bass and plugging the lead into the other, i would highly recommend a lead with a Neutrik silent jack on that end. It completely eliminates that nasty buzz and click as you swap over.
Kirky
The Gallien Kruger Fusion 550 is a single input but dual channel amp - the switch automatically adjusts gain and eq settings. Just mute the amp (it has a mute switch of just use your tuner if you use a pedal one) to avoid noice when unplugging. I think the class d models also have this feature. They can all be had for £500 or less second hand. Edited November 5, 2018 by Kirky
Jack
The problem with using a BDI21 for this purpose is (as has been mentioned) the BDI imparts a LOT of its own sound and character into the mix. That might suit you, you could for instance have the fretless with the BDI off for a super clean sound and then the BDI for the fretted, rockier, bass sound but you're still limited. I think the BDI has a very limited eq section anyway, I'm just not sure it's the right tool for this job. What's wrong with the trusty old GEB7 as a pure eq pedal? None of the inbuilt 'character' issues that the BDI has and a much more versatile eq section.
