Custom shop P bass. Is it or isn’t it?

No pic of the serial number, no receipt, lacquer on headstock looks a “non traditional” fender orange peel finish. But what do I know?

Could you tell me what problem you've identified with the bass? Obviously I'd like to get as much as possible for it but with a score of nearly 600 at 100% I don't want to risk anything. My main objective is to clear the 40-odd items in my studio now that I don't play anymore.  I don't have the skills or the equipment to put a guitar or bass together but I could dismantle one, and I can get to my start price by selling the parts separately, which I would be committing myself to doing once I take it apart.
