AScheck9
Just about to start a gig, and noticed this on the wall. Other than looking pretty bad donkey... what is this brandless bass?
Grahambythesea
Kay or Columbus from the truss rod cover, at a guess.

Bassassin
It's not a Kay. Think it's shortscale (look at the bridge position) and it has a zero-fret, suggesting it's pretty early, if it's MIJ. That being the case the pickup & scratchplate are probably not original, as early P type copies didn't have split pickups like this. Can't tell 100% from the pic but it looks like the pup has hex poles, in which case it's possibly a DiMarzio. Offer them a tenner for it. stingrayPete1977
A Tenner! At a push I'd take it for free to burn on bonfire night.
AScheck9
Offered a tenner, but not for sale unfortunately. I think it kinda looks good on a wall!
NikNik
It's a 21 fretter and that's why the bridge is forward on a standard heel pocket, Odd one.
